If I am saying this right. What I want to do is change the default for the dimensions that comeup when I go to move a wall.
When I add a wall you can tell it to go from face of core, exterior face, centerpoint, ect. But when you click on that wall to modify it or look at it then the dimensions default back to centerline, which is not how we dimension so it is annoying to always have to change where those dimensions are looking.

Go to Settings--> Temporary Dimensions...
And change to how you would prefer.
