So I'm importing some details (door jambs, that sort of thing) from autocad, and want to be able to just drop the details straight from autocad into drafting views and then place them on my sheets in revit. I've gone through the process of setting up my import settings to match our office's pen settings, and the drawing part of the import looks fine. Problem is, text that is supposed to be thick is showing up really thin, and leader arrows that are supposed to be thin are really thick. I've searched the forums for anything about importing text from autocad, and strangely can't seem to find anything. Any help would be much appreciated.

You sure didn't look very hard on this forum for importing autocad files & text because this subject has been covered several times. This link was just posted this week and will help you http://www.revitcity.com/forums.php?action=viewthread&thread_id=10885

NancyHKA, we currently get around all of those issues by linking our AutoCAD files into drafting views and not exploding them. There is an option to display as black and white as well. This seems to work well for our Structural Engineering department. If you need to update any of the files in AutoCAD you can reload them through Manage Links under File pull-down. Let me klnow if this helps. magonzalez@bhinc.com Michael

magonzo, thanks for the heads-up about reloading the autocad files. that's very helpful. WWHub, it would appear that you did not read my original post, since the issue I was having was with the thickness of the text, and not its justification, which was what was covered in the thread you linked. I've been playing around with this a little, and the way I've decided to work around the text thickness issue is by just changing the text style in the linked autocad file to arial (or something that isn't a .shx file, since revit doesn't seem to be able to assign a thickness to that kind of text).
