I was reading through my Mastering Revit 2008 book and read about some tools that I had never seen before. Turns out I had never seen them because they don't show up when they're supposed to. They're the floor, slab, and roof shape editing tools that appear in the options bar when you select one of those elements. The only button that appears on my computer is the "edit" button. Any ideas why they aren't showing up?

if you are using Structural Foundation Slabs, these tools do not work on those slabs. they only work on floor slabs HTH

I imagine I have the latest build. My coworker has those buttons on his computer.

Apparently I just had never noticed the buttons before. Why none of them would show up in the project I'm working on is because all the surfaces have at least one curved edge. It looks like the tools aren't available if any edges are curved or define the slope.
