Hi, it's me again. I've finished putting in the floor joists, and now I've moved on to the roof. I already built a roof, and am not sure how I put in rafters. Do I have to make rafter's from scratch, or is there anyway to put rafters in like how the joists were put it? Just some info: I am using RAC2008, though I am not an expert with it. I built the roof as roof by footprint. Thanks before hand for any help.

On the Basic tab of the Design Bar, Click componenent. In the Type Selector, select the rafter of your choice & place the rafter until u can see the bottom set of columns & the beam traversing the span. Regards, Chirag C. Where would I find a rafter? I've checked on Revit City and the Revit Web Library, and I can't find and actual rafter. I have found trusses, but I cant figuare out how to place those trusses. Does anyone know where I could find rafters, or how I could place Trusses?

Try placing your trusses from a plan view. Place one and look at it in 3d. Youll figure it out from there. For rafters, load an appropriate sized wood structural componet and place it in plan stretching out the ends as you need. Right click on the rafter and goto element properties. What you will get looks like the attached file. In that interface, you can set the height of each end.
