I am rendering in a image in Revit using the built in accurender. how do i import other materials into the program.

Is it worth spending time trying to render an image in revit and not exporting it to 3d max(haven't used it before)

Need an answer quite quiclky...

Thanks

NO,  if you are going to export your model to an external renderer, then assign the materials there.  If you can wait until 2009 comes out, then I'd try rendering it from Revit, as the rendering quality seems to be much improved.  But even more important than any and all of the above is what are you used to using?  If you are a wiz in some rendering engine, then don't use Revit, if you don't have any skills in some other rendering engine, then use Revit.  But as I said, if you have time, wait on it, because when 2009 ships, if you are going to it, everything that you do in 2008 (accurender) is wasted, as it doesn't translate.  So don't set the materials for your building twice!

I would prefer to go for 3dsMax, if u know it well, cause it gives more realastic output, or rather as TABEST says wait 4 revit 9
