Is there a plug in for revit architecture 2008 that makes transferring files between revit and max more easy? I'm working on doing a interior and exterior movie in max of a 52,000sq,ft building drawn in revit and my computer is having alot of trouble with it. I doubt its an issue w/ the computer b/c I’m running a 2.8ghz 8 core w/ 16gigs of ram. Thanks for any help.

Joe, I havn't tried it myself but NPowerSoftware has a program in beta. It has a video tutorial along with it to help you out. Let me know what you think of it. I believe it's a plug in for max and you just import your revit model in as an SAT file. Anyway, I don't know much. http://npowersoftware.com/translators/PT_Revit_to%20Max_Overview.htm

" is it Max or RAC that is having the trouble? there is no plugin that i know of, at least not from Autodesk. but fyi, the RAC 2009 has new export format for max that will make things a lot simpler. What the spec's on your machine WOW!. i have a Dual Quad Core (3.2 Ghz) w/ 16gigs of ram, 64 bit Vista with the new Intel Skulltrail mother on order. the new Mental Ray rendering engine will take advantage of multiple cores and your Max should also. Hopefully we get the 64 bit RAC next time. the 64 bit Autocad is available

coreed its max that is having the problem it takes around 20-30 min just to import the model then it runs so slow that I cant get anything done. hopefully RAC 09 new export to max feature really works well b/c I could really use a simpler export to max. congrats on your new machine i'm also running mental ray and just got this new computer combined w/ our render farm wow what a difference it makes. this one model is just giving me a head ache. btw BDerrick i downloaded that beta npower translator software im trying to give it a try I'll let youall know if it works.
