Hi, I am new to Revit Architecture 2008. Was wondering if someone could guide me as to how you would go about extending the external finish layer down over the end of the floor system so the material would show up in the elevation views and not the edge of the floor instead. I am generating a raised floor system on columns and have extended the floor system through to the external face of the wall core layer. I would like to be able to drag the external wall layer of the wall over down to cover the end of the floor but still keep the wall resting on the top of the floor. I know the easy way out is to extend the whole wall down to the underside of the floor, but I was trying to avoid this if possible. Chris

this has been covered in other threads but here goes....modify the wall family. edit the structure, then expand preview, switch to section, zoom bottom of wall, click modify, click the bottom of the wall, unlock the parts of the wall you want to extend. back in the model, cut a section of the wall(s) and extend. If your floor extends all the way out you willl probly want to edit the floor edge. good luck John
