im using Revit Architecture 2008. How do I get detailed wall sections? I cut a building section and added a wall section, but it doesn't have the level of detail im used to. Do i draw the detail using the detail lines or is it a type of component I need to add?

Don't expect the program to do everything for you. It will keep track of all of the major components but you add the details. First, change the detail level to medium or high. You can edit the cut profile of your components like walls to add returns at window jambs... heads or as you need to. Use detail components like metal/wood studs, masonry units, bar/wood joists as well as detailed window / door components that you may have to create.
