Revit Arch. 2008

I am trying to create a roof that is essentially a shed roof, but it has two slopes - one in each direction. I cannot seem to find a good way to create it. The "defines slope" hasn't been working with a "roof by footprint" type, and I can't get the slope arrow to work either. Please let me know if you know how I might model this double sloped shed roof.

Rather than trying to create the roof through a footprint, try extruding the roof. By using extrusion, you'll be able to adjust the profile of the roof in much the same way that you can with a wall. When you do this, you'll want to only draw the line that would essentially be the top of the roof. After you finish your sketch, you can go back and set the facia depth.

Hope this helps.

I have tried using Roof by Extrusion, but I have trouble because once I extrude it, I need to add another slope to it in the perpendicular direction of the extruded slope. Maybe I can create a mass, then use that as a reference for my roof.

Let me know if you have any more suggestions.

How can I extrude the roof in a direction that is not horizontal? It doesn't let me rotate or move the extrusion once it is done.
