Does anywone know how I can add a length parameter to a beam created with the complex template. The length wont appear in the material TO and when I try to add a parameter it wont create the element. ANy thought/suggestions? I have atached the family thanks

Place a reference plane in the family to end your extrusion, name it, dimension it and change the dimension to an instance parameter. You will have to change the extrusion properties to use this reference plane. It would be helpful if you read up on family development in your REVIT manual.
