I am working on a typical warehouse type building with 1.5” metal deck sloped at ¼:12. It appears that if I use an architectural “roof” I cannot get the steel deck profile and the deck span tags to work. If I make my “roof” out of a structural floor with a slope, all of that works just great. The problem is that all I can get from the spot elevations is the top of deck elevation because floors insert based on the top surface. I want spot elevations to be top of steel or bottom of deck. Is there any way to set up a slab so its insert is the bottom of core?
