I am working on a parking structure that has slabs that slope to drains. I need the model to be very accurate so I can use it for my detailing aswell. However when I sloped the slabs (which was very painful) I then could no longer use the dimension tools or spot dimension, which defeats the purpose. any thought, suggestions, Thanks.

I have been doing that same thing all day and the spot elevations are working just fine. Are you using sub-points to get your different elevations? If not you should try it because it makes it much easier to create the geometry.

can you please explain more in depth. I use the default points created when making a slab. I then added several points within my slab to achieve the slope. After its complete and I cut a section or create a call out I cannot dimension it or use spot dimensions. I get an error message that states the elements are no longer parallel. Thanks

It sounds like you are doing the same thing I am. Here is a PDF of a section of my floor. As you can see, I am able to get spot dimensions at the points and anywhere along the slope.
