Hey, I'm very new to Revit and I was introduced to it through an architectural class at school. I've managed to figure the basics out, however, I'm having trouble with my rendering. Every time I render, my patterns disappear and everything justs looks different than what it did before I rendered it. Am I doing something wrong regarding the material or what? Thanks in advance! :D

It would be helpful if you could include some images to show what you are talking about, but I think it is that you need yo understand all of the different settings under the Materials. Every object in your model has a material. If none has been assigned it is just the Default material. For every material, there is ability to select the hatch pattern when the object is cut, a surface pattern I.E. lines representing bricks on an elevation. You can set the basic color that the material will be when viewing the model in a shaded view. Last, there is a field to select the Accurender material. This will be an image map or procedural texture that is used when you render.

First thought is that you're trying to use a Surface Pattern to render instead of AccuRender textures. To get a better idea of what's going on, we'll need to see some screen shots.

Yeah, I was trying to use the surface patterns. I just figured out that there were actual textures that give the appearance of materials! Ugh, but thank you for your assistance!
