Is there anyway to import from 3DS Max into revit? For example, I need a barcelona chair for a project and found a really great .3ds one. I changed the leather color and now need to import it into a revit family file. If I do this as a dwg then I loose the materials, same with a DXF. HELP!

well u can simply archive the file along with the materials or else just export the file in DWG. formatt & import in 3ds max from file menu/file link manager & if the material is lost just apply the material from revit.

wait a few week!

I belive with fxb(i forget if this is the correct 3 letter abbriviation) that is in revit 2009 you will be able to some extent bring max madels into revit.

Also there is a barcalona rvt chair out there somewhere as i used it before, sorry but i dont have it in the libary on my work pc i will see if i have it at home, but do a searc of this site and augi and other revit sites and you will probably find it.
