Hi All,

I'm new to the world of Revit.

I started my job on an offer from the owner of the company who thought that I might fit in well in the office and needed someone to take-on and own Revit. I love it here and am really starting to enjoy the work.  I have no training whatsoever in structrual engineering or drafting.  Eveything I've learned has been from people in the office (in Autocad anyway).  Also, the people at CADClips.com have some fantastic tutorials.

You'll probably see me posting quite a bit as I am the only one in the office who is currently working in Revit. I'm to office guinea pig.

Thanks in advance for your knowledge.

Scott

It's great to see that there are still some companies that take on people and train them in-house.

All the best with your job and Revit.

 Regards,

Ian

Welcome to RevitCity. I agree with IDN101 it is great to see that there are some people willing to give a guy a chance to make something of himself. My company does the same thing and that is how I started 10 years ago.

Thanks Guys,

The owner of the company is a great guy. It was a huge compliment that he recognized something in my work ethic. So far, I'm really enjoying the learning and the company. I mean hey, who wouldn't love a work place with a beer fridge! (Friday afternoons only though)

I am wondering what a reasonable pay/hr would be for someone in my situation.

Thanks
