Afternoon all, I've been working on this roof problem all day, and I can't seem to figure it out. I've just changed my roof from single-plumb to double plumb cut, and added an 11 1/4" fascia. My roof is made in several parts, and all the parts had no trouble except for one. This part of the roof has two of its edges placed just below the 2nd level of my building, and the other two just below the 3rd level. They must be placed just below the level because of a construction detail, but that's umimportant. Previously, when the roof was single-plum cut, I had the roof set on level 3 and simply offset the other two edges (the needed to be on lvl 2) by -10', and the roof worked fine. However, Revit will not allow me to offset any edge once a double-plumb cut has been used. I had no trouble with this on other parts of the roof; I have edges on different levels with a double-plumb cut applied, and it worked fine. My question is this: Why is it that, on this portion of the roof, I'm not allowed to offset the edges of the roof when I use a double-plumb cut? I could offset the edges just fine when I used a single-plumb cut. I hope that the attached images help. If I can clarify anything, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm using Revit 2008. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you all very much.
