So we are just getting started with Revit (Revit 200 and our office is on a network. Here is one of our issues. We want to have one location on our network that everyone can access our wall types as they are created. But I cannot figure out how to make this work. It seems as though Revit walls are saved in each project and not in a location where they can be loaded into different projects. Is there anyway to centrally save our wall type so that they can be easily loaded into any project or even have it automacally loaded into our project startup template?

you will have to use FILE>TRANSFER PROJECT STANDARDS to move things such as walls between template files and project files.

You can do something like we have done with the USG files. When you download those from their website, they come in as one REVIT file. To transfer to your project, you just select the walls you want, copy/clip them then paste any where in your project then hit delete before you finish. The walls are now in your project.

Hi!! On the architect office where I worked, we had the companies template file saved on the server. So each time we started a project - revit conected to the server and opened the template file. In the template file we putted everything that was stadard for that office. Like walls and othe objects, sheets and everything that they use... I have changed job, and now I`m making a server template file for us. It`s easy... Sti@n
