I'm working on construction documents in Revit Architecture 2008 and am trying to create a family of tags that mimic the functionality of what we have in AutoCad. What we have is a number surrounded by a circle with a leader line and arrow. Sounds like a door or window tag, right? The difference is that we use this symbol to reference our construction note text on a sheet. The view and the construction notes are on the same sheet. Any ideas from anyone? I've been pondering it for a while and I've read the help menu and the manual and have found nothing to lead me firmly in the right direction. I do have an idea which I'll list in the hopes that it will help those that read this to help me find a solution. I'm thinking about modifying the functionality of the keynote (if that's possible) because that's the closest to what I'm looking for. I'm choosing the keynote tag because it's the only tag that can be used for all objects in the model. I also like it because it can be placed in a schedule. And I could customize the schedule by adding text so the notes would be in the right place. I'm not an expert with the funtionality of keynotes or their use and Revit doesn't do a good job of explaining it to me, so any explanation would also help me. Thanks in advance for any help offered

You are talking about keynotes so it's time to learn. This, however, is not the place to learn - only the place for specific questions. Do you have a copy of the REVIT tutorial that is available from AutoDESK with your REVIT license? We had to ask our vendor for a copy. BTW - It was free! It is available in both metric and imperial formats. Each of these references is about 1 1/2" thick and does a great job of covering all of the REVIT fundamentals including keynoting. GET IT ! Also get the REVIT User's Guide. Second - Use your help menu! Unlike AutoCAD, REVIT's help menu is very good and will answer many of your questions.
