Using Revit 2008.

I'd like to have all of the doors on my existing phase copied to a new construction phase (being demo'd and replaced). However when I copy aligned it says "instances not cutting anything", but it has no problems inserting a new door where the old one was.

(This has other benefits aside from allowing two door schedules, one with demo doors, another with new. It also allows a link to be copied in a master plan to allow unique door and room numbers to be assigned per building using a phase filter on separate schedules.)

Is there a way this can be done without having to insert a new door at every location?
