Just discovered that the text in my exported dwg files has been scaled down.

My Revit Sheet contains a plan view @ 1:200 with 3.5mm Text (Arial Font).  When I export this to a DWG file the text scales down from 700mm (3.5@1:200) to 688.4731mm.

A similar problem occurs with other text sizes and other scales.  The Font being used in Revit is Arial and it's the same in AutoCAD.  The only difference I can detect is the Text exported from Revit shows up as the font being "TT Arial" whereas the AutoCAD font lists as being "Arial ttf".

Both of these are Arial True Type font so does anyone know what is causing the problem?

Sounds like its a rounding error. I dont recall how many significant digits Revit keeps but I know it has issues with files that cover a space larger than a 2 mile radius. It sounds like your large scale might be throwing it off.

Does this happen at smaller scales?

Thanks Nick but I'm not sure that is the cause of the problem.

I know Revit has an issue with AutoCAD models that are 7.5km away from the origin but in my case the AutoCAD files and the Revit model are all positioned at 0,0.

Also, everything else is scaled correctly - the linear distance between the Grids scales correctly to 8 decimal places.  It is only the text that was scaled down.  My example was with a view at 1:200 but another Revit user tried the same thing with a viewport at 1:100 and got similar results - 344mm high text instead of 350mm.

I will give it a try using a 1:1 view but I'm sure I will get text at 3.44mm instead of 3.5.

Thanks again for your response.
