Does anyone know of any Revit users in New England (esp. New Hampshire, Vermont, northeastern NY)?
Thanks,
Karen

Hi - I am a Revit user and live in Cambridge MA. Acutally, I used to work on the development team at Autodesk Revit in Waltham. I loved it but I wanted to return to my roots in architecture. Now, I am using Revit and am loving it even more as a user.

Hi Katie,
Thanks for the reply - sorry for the long delay! Got kind of swept away by holidays and work. I talked with an architect friend here in Burlington, VT. Looks like they are about to take the Revit plunge! I'm looking forward to having another Revit user in the Burlington area. I'm loving this! I just finished a high-end house for a local contractor, and I am amazed at how fast I was able to give him so much stuff - even with a considerable learning curve to climb. The clients were totally impressed.
Do you work by yourself or are you in a firm? Have you worked on a multi-user project? I'm an independent designer working for several firms. Usually I take on whole small projects to do all myself. As others begin to use Revit around here I'm wondering how I might fit into a project others are working on as well.
Thanks,
Karen

I have been doing some projects on my own and I also work for a company that does design and manufacturing of modern post and beam houses. I am working on transitioning them from 2D AutoCAD to Revit and it is really going great. I have been doing renderings mainly, but am training some people now. After a few more people learn it, I hope to get them to use it to produce their drawings and to see it's true potential. Then, the next step is to use it for the manufacturing end - that would be really cool. I am curious to hear if anyone else is using it in that way. I have worked on multi user projects and it works really well.

Wow. I know this is a really old post, but we just started implementing Revit. We are in Connecticut, though I take work on vacation with me once a month or so when we go to the Northeast Kingdom (VT) and use it up there. :-)

Lizard2806: Where in the Northeast Kingdom? Newport is my old stomping ground; now I am with a firm in Burlington that switched to Revit late last year. Family is mostly still in the Newport and Craftsbury area. Very beautiful, very removed. Stephen

A stone's through from Lake Willoughby. I just ate in Newport a few weeks ago at the Cow Palace. :-) Good eats, but the service was excrutiatingly slow that night! God's country up there for sure. We considered moving to Burlington for a while, but ended up not. Burlington is a great city.
