Is anyone using othe operating systems apart from windows, such as Linux?

I believe that Revit only supports windows. There are a number of threads on here and AUGI in relation to Macs but I dont know that you can run it on anything else without useing emulation software... Nick

You could try the wine application. I use it at home to run AutoCAD 2005 and have no issues. I say 2005 because my Linux is a little out dated and I haven't had the time to update it. I just haven't gotten around to trying Revit but I don't see why it shouldn't.

Hmmm... interesting, thanks for that... i'll put it in my hat! I'd be interested in other comments about this one. What do you think of Wine vs Windows?

" Wine tastes better Seriously though, I haven't tried running autocad or revit on wine but generally speaking, with *nix and wine you don't have the stability problems windows has (or constant necessity to reboot after upgrading the os). My home computer was up for 932 days without a reboot (FreeBSD) and would still be going strong except Ike knocked out the power and the UPS went down before I got the generator running.
