Alright here is my deal im a freshmen in college and i want to study arch. well i went to a firm downtown and talked to a guy i know and asked if there was any work i could help him with and he asked me if i knew about revit i told him no and he said download the 30 day trail and bring back what you have done and if i see that you can pick up on it fast then ill try to work with you so here is my question ... What is the best way of learning revit fast and easy not all the ends and outs but enuff to make an impressive first project ps. i have no CAD experiance and the only thing close that i have done is the Sims and Second life haha i have a 400 pg book called introducing revit acrh. 08 but i cant read and comprehend well in a 30 deadline !! any sugestions ?

If you have very little time, the best thing would be to go to a training course.  You might try calling a traning location and see if they would let a student sit in for free.  Tell them it is for an assignment and you might jujst luck out.  other than that, all I can tell you is the best way to learn it is to immerse yourself in it.  You can pick it up quick if you spend a lot of time with it each day.  Check out some video tutorials on youtube and also check these sites out:

Go to the house tutorial and this would be a good start.

With these, you can start with the beginner lessons and work up to the advanced

Are you familar with construction documents?  If so I would just jump right into Revit and try to get as far as I can with laying out a set of construction documents.  The tutorials helped me when I came across a problem and you can get alot of help from this site by doing searches and asking questions.
