I am working on a project that has mulitlevel clerestory windows.  Was thinking I could use the plan region command to layout a plan for most of the windows.  However one wall has windows at three different levels and they are not stacked, they vary where they are located in the wall.  How would I go about laying out a plan for this wall?  Am I going to have to layout separate plans for this wall?  Using Revit 9.1.

JHanby,

Here is one option... Make new levels at each of the variable window locations...call these levels what ever you want (something like window plan view 1, 2, ect.) Then addjuct the view port to show just the wall at the window locations. In each view show the associated dimentions and window call outs... On the main floor plan you can use a callout to associate the other views.. The other views can be placed on the same page or on different ones.

You could also cheat by drawing the layout of the windows at the different heights and locations in a drafting view and then use a callout reference.

Sometimes what I will also do is callout windows and there location on an elevation view. With a NOTE: verify on the job before instalation.

Hope this helps..Have a great Day...
