thanks victoralexbr. This was quite helpful - even if I don't speak portugese :o)
An instance parameter is fine, but is there anyway to use the "Referencing Sheet" parameter found in the View Title families? This would make CA sketches very efficient.

I don't know if i understand what you mean, but if you are in the parameter window inside the family and select the loaded generic tag, you can link with other parameter of the sheet family.
Or you can make two parameters equal with the formula.
If this dont work, try make a schedule of the sheets and create a Calculated Value... to link then, but you cant get that value to a tag inside the sheet, just use the schedule as a guide to see what is going on.
Hope this solve your problems.
See you later.

Hi Victor.
Thanks for your response. However I am looking for the ability, much like with a Viewport and View Title. The view title has a parameter (label) named Referencing Sheet that can be added to the view title to indicate where the detail/view is being referenced.
My hope is to have similar functionality for a Title Block. In CA we would like to add Referencing Sheet value to the TB so that someone reviewing the CA Sketch can know where this detail/view is located in the drawing set.
I am able to accomplish this with an instance parameter, adding it to the TB family and manually entering the Referencing Sheet. I am hoping that this could be more BIM-like with a Referencing Sheet parameter (label) in the TB.
Anyone have any thoughts? Or is this a wishlist kinda thing ...Ian

sounds like you can do a Sheet Schedule to make a sort of summary of the sheets and title blocks, but not exactly what you wanted.

iamian,

So you only have one view on a sheet - correct? So why do a conventional sheet family? Just use a blank sheet with a View Title set up to look like a sheet. That can have your information.

That's an interesting twist WW. I'll look at that. My concern would be making use of Project parameters like Project Name, etc (usual TB stuff) in the View Title.
For now, I'll use the TB along with a View Title that delivers the Referencing Sheet. Thanks for your suggestion

Use a simple sheet with the project information and the rest of the sheet being the view title.
