hey im having the exact same problem with the adaptive components and the repeat command. can you please elaborate further on your solution. its been pissing me off too aha

Hi Cimini,
The solution was that adaptive components that are repeated on a divided surface using the new 'Repeat' tool in Revit Architecture 2013 cannot be cut with a Void object. You can use a 'Curtain Wall based patten' to create the panel and then select the panel from the 'Type Selector' and those panels will repeat automatically and can be cut with a 'Void' object. This didn't suit my project because the surface ended up faceted rather than a smooth curve. If you create a multi-point adaptive component it will follow the contour of a curved divided surface as it repeats but as mentioned will not cut with a Void Object. As a work around, I used a 'Sweep' in a compund wall with a Profile of the shape required to achieve a smooth surface. This was a good work around but inefficient BIM wise in terms of scheduling and work flow as individual elements can't be itemised or replaced but looks looks visually correct.
