If it is a free form model, you can select it, check "edit in place", then you are able to move in Z-coord.

Ok, here is a file of 2 "cubes", mass elements.
The process to build them was this: http://screencast.com/t/7rTktUYh6
Let me know if you manage to move an element vertically in a 3D view, from one end point to another end point.

Why is this form being drawn as a mass? Its just 2 squares.
You cannot snap from one endpoint to another from a 3D view. Just move it the where you need it in plan view then go to a section or elevation and move it vertically to where you need it.

What if its not a Mass element? Is it possible to move any object in revit from point-to-point in 3D view?
A Family withought any constrains?
Any other element?

Not in the Z direction. Section or Elevation is your answer to moving those objects

If it's only a quick model for preliminary design, then you should use SketchUp.
That's why we are using SketchUp a lot.
One of my wishlist was that we can import SketchUp 3D components into Revit projects.
Sorry, I was talking about Copy and Paste.Edited on: Tue, Nov 20, 2012 at 4:21:44 PM
