So, in essence, that's how Revit shows that; and there is not a way to change the door to be 'correct'?

The door is correct. These doors will never look the same in the same view. Only in normal views.
You will see this on all colored views for all objects. Remember, this is true with colors in the real world as well but maybe not as dramatic as this. Revit is trying to mimic this. If you want it to look more realistic, use a rendered view - obviously no text ... and oh - the sun location will change the colors there to.
