you've seen a few sheets shots from our material editor... can you show us a shot of your setup for your siding material?

The siding you are using does not appear to be a ship lap but maybe a T&G. If you want the havy lined ship lap then you will need to use that material.

Warchitect,
I did my best to match Typhoon's settings exactly. The image I posted was rendered with the "best" rendering quality setting.

ML 22: you jpeg image sample size is set for 1 foot actross 8 boards..that makes each board on the rendering less than 2" wide...board siding is around 6" to 12" for one board...maybe adjust that too

Are you using a bump map to contrast the depth further?

Warchitect has your answer; change your sample size to 4' x 4' and then adjust from there. Just make sure that whatever you do to the material image, you'll have to do the same to the bump image to ensure they match.

Warchitect et al.,
I agree that the scale did not seem to be right, but the siding was rendering as 6" boards. I can't explain why.
I tried increasing the bump value, and I matched the bump and material images, but my result was very bumpy siding. This is very much a step in the wrong direction, as Hardi-Plank is smooth (OK, textured is available, but I'm not using it). And the edges of the boards still are not especially visible.

Thanks. You have to use a sloped glazing roof and create custom mullion profiles.
This post was very helpful for me: http://www.revitcity.com/forums.php?action=viewthread&thread_id=815
