I think these things come about because of the "Art" factor of architectural plans. I know that as well as being technical documents, some Architects view their drawings as artwork and they don't want their "artwork" to look like everybody else's "artwork". So they are very resistent to changing how they have done thing for 20 years.

The other hurdle we are facing is that our client dictates what the drawings need to look like for all of their projects.

I fully believe that we should 'make our drawings work WITH Revit' not 'make Revit work for our drawings'
