ANNOTATE--->STAIR PATH
ALL THE WAY ON THE RIGHT
OR DO CREATE SIMILAR
"
Is this new feature in Revit Architecture 2013? I do not see any stair path under annotate tab in the ribbon (I'm using RAC 2012)..
"
I think it might be - It's definitely there on Revit Architecture 2013. I don't have any older versions to check.
Tool Description = "Annotates the slope direction and walk line of a stair"

I think they mean Annotate Tab under VG. I see it in 2013.
How do you turn off the ramp UP symbol? Turning it off under the Stairs category doesn't affect it.

I've been having the same problem with stair arrows. I found the stair path button, but now when I click the button, it
won't let me select any of my stairs. I've moved the cursor over every stair in my drawing and it won't even highlight
anything! Can anyone explain this to me? I feel like I'm going crazy!!!

I don't know if still somebody is reading this topic but i think i found why. If you do Stair by sketch you can't make a stair path, but if you make a stair by Component than you can choose the option custom than it's possible to make a stair path.

I had a different issue, the stair path wouldn't show the dn text, only up. I finally figured out how to solve it with the following steps Revit 2017.2:
1. delete upper landing
2. flip orientation of stair, stair path text updates automatically
3. flip orientation back to original location, stair path text shows dn now instead of only up.
4. add upper landing back in.
good to go.

I am using Revit 2018, and if you go to the annotate tab -> symbol and click on stair path, then hover over the stairs and click, the arrow and corresponding down/up text now shows. Hope this is the solution!
