I have been trying to figure out how to use the blend command but can’t figure it out. Can anyone point me to a tutorial or give instructions? Thanks for the help.

It's fairly easy. 1. In an elevation view (looking at the front of the dormer) Component, model in place, roofs, give it a name. 2. Click on solid, Blend, Revit asks for a plane. Select a predefined plane, or 'Pick a plane'. It doesn't matter exactly where the plane is, you can just select the wall below. 3. Draw the profile of the back face of the dormer. 4. Click edit top and trace over the lines that you drew previously and move them down the relevant amount to create the front of the dormer. Click finish blend. 5. In a perpendicular elevation or section align the front and back to the correct position. The blend is complete. You can then create a void extrusion to cut the blend to the roof face.

Ok here are two videos that should get you started. My eyebrow arcs and slopes may not be exactly what you use but the process of using an in-place solid blend will be the same.
