p.s. i noticed in the imperial library that there are several kinds of section tags. one looks like the standard interior elevation tag, and the other looks like the kind i've been talking about.  so why is it that the section markers are variable, but the elevation markers aren't?

The intent of the original Revit programmers was to leave a few annotation families uneditable so that drawings produced in Revit would be instantly recognizable to them on paper. This was in order to quickly survey the amount of Revit usage in the industry, even if the user did not want to admit that they were using Revit.

dfitzladdy is dead right... those elevation markers are dorky!

What's this concept that "drawings produced in Revit would be instantly recognizable...to quickly survey the amount of Revit usage"?  Seriously?  They don't keep track of licenses? Is that arrogant or stupid?

For what we pay annually for the privledge to use Revit, we shoud be able to make it look like whatever we want!  If that's a workaround--fine.  Nothing new, we're all beta testers.  Perhaps this should be posted on AUGI, but if we can't ask (or expect) improvements in the product, why subscribe?  This is the 'Wishlist' area, right?
