Is it worth the time/money? For the folks who make (or help make) those decisions, would you be more inclined to hire somone with the certification? If you saw a contractor had certified employees, would you be more inclined to chose them over a company that did not?

I have taken several of these now and IMO, at first they were very worth it.
Since the factory started having them for free at AU I feel like they have lost a lot of value.
The other part, they are very general IMO and should be broken into each discipline.
I did not take the 2012 and am debating not doing the 2013 either.

i've done several different cert tests with autodesk and they all seem pretty basic. if you have a little knowledge of the program you can figure the hands on test for the pro exam. if you want a better test that is free to see where you stand go here:

Great News!!! there's a book that came out called Revit Exam Trainer Book, it has 450 possible questions for the Revit Examt. Just go to the website www.revitexamtrainer.com and check it out!! They will even give you a sample piece to show you what you are buying. Check it out!!

"hi all i am also thinking of getting certification but couldnt find anywhere to do it in my country Indonesia. so i asked the technical support on the website and it says that i have to travel to a country that has an Autodesk Certification Centre. the nearest country to mine that has this is India, but i'm not sure if it's worth to go all the way there. I guess i will contact some of the listed companies there to get information. Have anyone had similar experience?"
You don't have to go to India,, just pay them the money and someone will write the exam for you.  Just kidding. Take online test.
