If your floors are not on the same level and your hosting a room off a different level you can get that... to the O.P. make sure the floor in your room is all on the same level and your dropping it in the correct view for the level you want it on.

I went to the view tab > plan views > floor plan > picked a level that didn't have a plan, deleted all rooms from room schedule, placed new room (still had space ommitted). This is the process you're referring to? Please correct me if it's not.

This might be a stupid question but you turned on room seperation lines under "lines" in your graphics overides and there is no line just sitting there?
Also when you select the room does the level its hosted too match the level of the plan you placed it on?

did you applied any structural properties to any wall in your project? in the REVEAL HIDDEN ELEMENTS image i see what i believe are structural elements. if so, re-adjust analytical alignment to top and bottom rather that automatic or just remove the structural properties. if this is the case even if you turn on your REVEAL HIDDEN ELEMENTS you wont see the wall or analytical wall.

Try attaching a file with only that area so one of us can review it.

There is still something you are not telling us. Try this.
Copy clip just this area and paste it in a new project. If it is still messed up, purge all in this project and post it here.
