I was wondering. Have there every been a revit contest on the forum? I visit other AutoCad forum and they have a contest every months. How many people would be interested in having one? I think that it would a fun way of meeting new people.

I think it would be a great idea as well. So long as its not too detailed where one wouldn't have time to do it...

contest would be great, but they would need to be set up like highschool, college, and pro. to even fairness. Who would check it / rate the drawings?

The forums that i have seem on other sites have the members vote. They keep the voting up for awhile. I never thought about different classes. How can we get the staff of revitcity to get on board with us?

Well, I had some thoughts too about the contest different classes was one of them. But also, I think that who ever will host the contest should make different projects for each class as well. Why? Well, if your in highschool, that would be a overwhelming challenge to do a project that should be done by professionals. My guess for who would host and judge the contest or (get on board with us) would be the staff. I think if they read this forum, or the people who are interested in this should e-mail them and ask.

Interesting idea, I guess the first question I'd ask is being a competition are their prizes expected or is merely just a recognition thing? I know the moderators of this site generally leave it to do its thing and try to have minimal contact, so anything like this would need to be run by the users...

well i think that the project should not be anything that you have currently. if you have something that the contect is about then that is ok i think.

about prizes i think that if we can't get any physical items then we can have a picture of the winning on the front page and some info about them. I think that the users should be the ones to decide the winning.

this is off the topic but any word on the new website??????? I like this site alot but it can be much better.
