I have a Revit file where i previously halftoned the linked files. I have gone through and unchecked all of the halftone boxes but my linked files are still showing up as halftone (gray). How can I override this? I have tried removing the links and bringing them back in, yet they're still half toned.

Several places you could have done this. - By element in each view ... one item at a time
- Clicking on the linked file
- In VG - If you control the linked file through the revit links tab, there is a halftone switch
- In VG - Through the revit links tab, if display is custom, you can idividually set category items to halftone.
- In VG - if you are not controlling through the links tab, then you can set each category here.

If none of those fix it check the discipline setting in View Properties. I have seen that affect the graphics if it is set wrong.

If you are using phasing on your project, Revit will automatically override the graphics of linked model if it was part of a previous phase. Click on phasing and turn off the graphic overrides.

Thanks to everyone. I've since figured out all these options but just noticing there were responses. Thanks again.

I changed the settings under manage tab>additional settings>halftone/underlay options
this solved my problem across the board so no need to adjust each view.

That is only how much your halftone is. FOR ALL HALFTONE IN THE PROJECT!
That doesn't explain why your linked files are halftone in the first place.
But if your happy with this, we're done.

I'm not at all happy about this - I'd love to know why I can't reset my link as fulltone.
Like the OP I remember setting my link to halftone but none of the above listed options help.
Is there any info I can give you that would help you help me?

Maybe you didn't understand everything. Show us a screen capture of your VG settings with the revit links tab picked.
Are you using phases? If so, then show us the properties for the linked file in your view.

I'm not using phasing in this project.
Here's the screenshot - this option doesn't seem to change the way the model is showing.

Click on the linked file in a view - right click and pick over-ride graphics in view - by category. If it is like the attached then this is your problem.
Now if that isn't it,you didn't show us the properties for the linked file in that view. I want to see what phase the linked file is in.

My options to override graphics when I rt click on the selected link are greyed out(element, catagory and by filter are unselectable).
Here's the properties screenshot when link is selected.

For the link's properties, click on the phase mapping and make sure that is correct. Should all be new I think - right?
I don't know whay all of the over-rides are ghosted....Mine do not and category is available.....
I have to believe you have over-ridden graphics somehow. This is not a Revit issue.
