Hi everyone, I am having some problems with an interior rendering I am working on. When I go to render the interior scene and select interior sun only, my rendered image appears to have sun only. When I render the interior scene and select interior artificial only, I get a scene with artificail light only. Here's my problem, when I select interior sun and artificial, the rendered scene appears to be sun only and no lights are rendered. Last week I rendered a interior scene of a kitchen using interior sun and artificial setting and the rendered image came out great. I can not figure out what is wrong or what I might have done to cause this. I am stumped. Can anyone identify what I might be doing wrong or what might be causing this to happen?

Can you post an image of your settings you're using?

Do you need to view the settings of the rendering window or do I need to open all of the windows and post them all?

That is hard to see, but I doubt it's a sun setting anyways. When you render does the render dialogue box locate the artificial lights? Are they all checked in the lights dialogue? What happens when you set the sun settings to a night time setting?

What happens when you set the sun settings to a night time setting? When I render the scene with interior artifical only the dialogue box locates 75 artificial lights. When I render the scene with interior sun only...no lights. When I render the scene with interior sun and artficial the dialogue box locates 36 artificial lights and 605 portals. Yes the lights are all checked. I have not tried rendering the scene at night.

Is there a special setting for night time renderings? I have always just rendered an exterior scene at night, but I used exterior artificial only to show lights at night along a street. Would that be the same a night, using interior artificial only?

Interesting, I figured it should pick up all 75 lights not 36. If you render sun and artificial and change your settings for the sun to be after dusk it should render better... i think. I use Max myself so i have not tried night scenes in Revit. It seems your settings are good. Post some draft renders and maybe someone can identify the problem.

That is what I thought. I didn't understand why my lights went from 75 to 36.
