The "Barrel Chair" by Frank Lloyd Wright was designed in 1937 for Herbert Johnson's house, Wingspread. Made of natural cherrywood with an upholstered leather seat, the chair was a reworking of a design Wright created in 1904.(<http://www.littledetailscount.com/>) |

The Scottish architect and designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh regarded the space in and around furniture to be as important as the wood and upholstery. Originall painted white, Mackintosh's high narrow Hill House Chair was meant to be decorative - not to be actually sat on. The Hiil House Chair was designed in 1902-1903 for the publisher W. W. Blackie. The original still resides in the bedroom of the Hill House in Helensburgh. |

Model of the Fairfax chair by Kelly Wearstler.
Non parametric. Materials can be set for the body pieces combined. There are a couple minor incongruencies that I was unable to resolve dealing with the cutout in the lower portion of the chair. Hopefully it doesn't cause any problems.
I made this for my wife who is and interior design student. I hope it helps some others out there. |

“The Le Corbusier (LC2) is an armchair with a polished chrome tubular frame. Le Corbusier was born Charles Edouard Jeanneret, and is widely considered the most important Modernist chair designer in France. As a spirited advocate of Modernism, he created a range of chairs that express his ideals with great sophistication.” |

The Mart Stam Chair was introduced in 1926 by the famous Dutch architect and furniture designer Mark Stam. The chair features leather wrapped over tubular steel bars, with leather wrapped armrests placed securely on each side of the seat. As a design, it remarkably lies between Mies van der Rohe's Brno chair and Breuer's early chair designs, such as the Strapped chair and the Wassily chair. Overall, its simplicity understates its role as arguably one of the most important chair designs of the early 20th century. Stam's design for a cantilever chair helped revolutionize design. This modern furniture focuses great attention on creativity and taste of innovation, out of the ordinary, and with highest care for details both of design and of functionality. http://www.littledetailscount.com |

Hello everyone, its been a while.
Here is a nice Modern Style dome seat for that finishing touch.
Fixed in size but 2 material parameters, Main body material and grey leather fabric. NOTE that the grey leather has been downloaded from the link below. I change the overall pixel resolution as it was too big when downloaded. I used 200x150 if that helps.

Hope it comes in useful.

Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's use of tubular steel was an influence from Marcel Breuer. This was apparent in his design of the MR Chaise Lounge. Inspired by the possibilities of this material, Mies incorporated chrome tubular steel in furniture design, mixing it with traditional fabrics like leather. He often employed cantilevers and delicate structural frames to create a feeling of lightness. During his time, he collaborated with interior designer Lilly Reich, who was also his companion.
Quote from Mies: "Architecture is a language, when you are very good, you can be a poet".
