I have a student that wants his building to rotate 90 degress over 45 feet, so what I had him do was to take 1 foot masses, and copy them up and the rotate it 2 degrees doing that 45 times. When it was all done it was segmented which is what I had expected, but now how do I get the 45 sections to blend together so that I get a 90 degree twist on my building. I am looking at some things from AU 2005 but they dont go too indepth on how they achieved them to blend all together. If you cant qite visualize what Im trying to do let me know and I will try and get something put together and post it on here. Thanks in advance. Grant Doherty

i think want you really want to do is create an in-place family or a mass and then use the solid blend option for what you are trying to do. a blend will automatically transition and join by defining the bottom profile in plan and them the top profile in plan with any rotations. when you finish the sketch every thing will be blended together if your student want the whole building to rotate, then i would use a mass. them he could use the "by" options to add walls, floors etc. HTH

Thanks The issue I saw with just doing a blend was that since the building is pretty much square 45' x 45' it wouldnt realize that it was rotated and would just give me a qube instead of a torqued qube. I suppose i could do 2 blends each of 45 degrees off from eachother. I think I will trying to do the 2 blends though. Did you say that the blends should automaticly join together? Thanks I didnt think it would work but now that you mention it, it makes sence. Grant Doherty
