I created a mansard roof using solid sweep. Then I applied a revit model pattern - 6" shakes to the roof using the paint bucket command and it shows up rotated 90 degrees. I tried a revit city pattern - does the same. Any way I can change it cannot figure it out. Also I am using revit 9.
Thanks

The tab key is your friend...
In plan tab select one of the lines of the pattern, then select it and use the rotate command...
HTH.
