Hi All,
I have model that is positioned a long (LONG!) way from the site floor plan, unfortunately it needs to be there to maintain it's geospatial location for export to other platforms. I can get the family in the perfect place and every thing is fine bar the fact I can't now create sections as the only way to find the model in a view is to rely on 3D Views.
Is there a way to creat a plan or elevation "by current view", i.e. if I am looking top down onto the model can I create a plan based on the extents of that view?
Thanks

I don't understand why you can't create a plan to do this. Just change your crop.
BTW - A very big area in Revit causes problems. Maybe you should look at a different process for this.
Why is this model so far away from the site/floor plan?
