Revit 2015 on 8.1
Has anyone else noticed that if you delete an AutoCAD layed using Delete Layers - the layer will stay deleted, but if you delete the layer using Query the next time you have to reload (refresh) the AutoCAD file all those layers come back on?
Is there something I am doing wrong (besides using AutoCAd in Revit), or a work around for it? Thanks.

You say reload so you are linking - correct.
I don't know how you delete layers when linking CAD. We turn them off in the VG properties and they stay off.

Yes, linking.
VG works good for an individual view but you can delete layers and they will be off for the whole file. Highlight the model and above "Import Instance" on the menu is "Delete Layers" and "Query". Under Delete you can delete layers but you have to know what layer you want deleted. Under Query you can highlight an AutoCAD item and it will tell you what layer it is and give you the option to Delete or Hide (Hide is the same as the VG control WWHub refered to).
Now back to the Querstion:
If you delete an AutoCAD layed using Delete Layers - the layer will stay deleted, but if you delete the layer using Query the next time you have to reload (refresh) the AutoCAD file all those layers come back on?
Is there something I am doing wrong (besides using AutoCAd in Revit), or a work around for it? Thanks.

I guess I never had this problem because I use VG and template settings. Template settings are obvious and can be reviewed or changed.
Looks like you found maybe a problem you should report.
I guess the work-around is to first query to find out what layer then use the other 'delete layers'.

Templates might be a more flexible way to go.
Where do I report an error like this?
