Okay, so I have been trying to figure out how to connect a roof with a top plate of 12'-0" to another roof at 14'-0". If I make them as two seperate roofs and then join them, I get an error "target will miss". I just want to create an uniform roof, please help.

Did you know that in your sketch, you can set the elevation of the lines that define your roof? In most cases, I like my roof as one element. The attched is one roof.

You need to show an image of what you re trying to accomplish as there are way to may roof options that you could be doing. If you get an error saying that the roofs will miss its because they don't intersect eachother.

So I changed the elevations on the eaves and it makes this. I want the lower eave to die into the wall. How would I do this?

You can not get one roof area to go under another roof area using one roof. That raised roof may have to be seperate. do that then paste a new image.

Not the same view - we can't see the roof eave change.
A roof that extends over another roof will not automatically extend which you may have thought it would do under join geometry! You have to sketch that extension. I typicall sketch the roof so it is full to begin with running through the other roof. Then from a roof plan, I add reference planes along where the roofs would join and edit both sqetches back to that point.

Revit will not automatically join those to roofs you will need to do this. As WWHub said you have to sketch that extension running through the other roof. Then you can add reference planes and edit both roofs to follow those points.

See the attached file. You will draw on roof and then the other. Pull your higher roof through your lower one and join them, you will see the valley lines. When you see the valey lines you can edit your sketch to follow these lines.
