i need to create a stepped floor and it should be one element only. so two separate floors with different level is not a choice because i have to host a railing on this floor. i need the railing to slant down like it did in stairs. i tried using the stair command, but it doesnt allow me to only have one riser.
i'm using revit 2013

Just use floors and modify railing. it's possible make railing sloped without any hosts.
This video should be helpful.
