I am getting a vertical line on an outside wall (wood siding on wood stud). Any suggestions?

Align the finishes of the two walls that are intersecting and use the join geometry tool. Or use the linework tool to make the line invisible in your 3D view.

Line only shows in rendering and is a couple of feet away from outside corner. Could it be associated with a wall section? Post edited on 2006-02-09 16:21:32

If you look in the material editor settings you may see under the Tile tab where the X setting is a large distance but not large enough, you might add a bunch more digits - at least a 5 digit number, more will not hurt.

Both of th above ideas are good approaches, however, I still am not having any success and cannot seem to put my finger on the cause, which makes the solution more difficult. I am a teacher and my students are having the same difficulty, which makes me think it must be in my classroom setup or some of the procedures I am teaching. If there are any other suggestions out there, I would welcome your insight. Post edited on 2006-02-15 11:48:46

I still think it is the vertical tile in the material. Try a 10 digit number for the X Nominal size in the Material Editor. You can also toy with the X Offset parameter in the editor, try moving X in a large negative direction and see if you can get the tile line moved off the house.

Yes, this works. You have helped me solve a solution which has plagued since version 6. Thank you.
