I am trying to model a steel catwalk that follows an arched bridge above it. I need to keep vertical steel vertical and horizontal steel I need to curve with the arch. I know how to get the horizontal steel to do what I want, but to get the vertical steel to copy quickly, I'm running out of ideas. Anyone have thoughts? I'm open to anything. Line based families won't follow the curve (unless I'm missing something).

I'm not really clear on what is going on. "I know how to get the horizontal steel to do what I want, but to get the vertical steel to copy quickly" are you just trying to copy the vertical beams (if thay are beams) along the arch? Instead of copying them can you do a polar array? Maybe a better picture would help also.
