Ok, I am trying to overlay an engineers drainage CAD dwg onto my block plan in Revit 2010. I have it imported and positioned and everything is as i want it. Only problem is at areas where i have filled regions i.e. block paving and where my building is the CAD drawing is beneth them. How do i set the cad drawing to be an overlay/ in the foreground? I read in another post that near the query there should be a backgroud/forground button however i can not find it in 2010.

Filled regions are 2D and view specific. If you don't want them to show, then why did you add them? - Delete them.

The filled region are from my Architects block plan showing what i need to show however i want to show thw drainage routes etc from the engineers drawings. I thought it would be simple to overlay it on the top of my view. I thought it would be easy so that i didnt have to draft the lines in on revit.

All you need to do is select the cad underlay and go to the properties. Under Draw Layer select foreground.
