Hi All, Having a little difficulty with the attached file from a manufacturer. Firstly, I need to convert it from metric to imperial. Second, the half round gutter is way out of scale even for metric. I understand how to change units via Settings --> Project Units. However, when I manually scale the gutter down by "0.038449" to get the exact size I need, Revit tells me that it "contains no loops" when I try to load it. Thanks.

If you "Scale" that to "0.038449" you have a Gutter with less than 2 inches, that gutter must have "0.38449" and not "0.038449", i edit that gutter, scale then load into project, no problem, but the scale you are doing, that's the problem...

Hi Typhoon, At a scale of 0.38449 the model is importing at around 3 feet high. The original gutter is 100mm at the highest point, but when I change the unit settings it looks as if it is translating into 100 inches or 8' 2 1/2" (rather than 3.8449 inches). My thinking was to accept the 100 inches height, and then scale down by 0.038449 to get the 3.8449" desired, but that's where I start to get the "contains no loops" error once imported. Thanks.

Because 0.038... it's to Small, the offset of the lines are "0.0003m", Revit don't assume that value, the minimun is "0.002m", that's why it gives the error...

Solved! Scaled down the gutter, and all I had to do was thicken the gutter material. It's strange that the manufacturer didn't have the material scaled to the size properly. Only trouble now is the setting the reference planes because it is hanging in mid air once inserted.
