I've started making an editable solar shade, which can be added to a wall. (revit building 200 but it won't let me add this to a curtain wall. Anyone know how I can redefine this so I can do so? I've attached the file for review. Also, when I add the louvers, I was constricting them to the left and right outriggers, but then if i change the elevation of the element, i get an error. these fins (I assume) must be locked to the centerline of element (front elevation) but if i constrain them to left/right ref. planes, I cant figure out how to add this constraint. Any ideas??? Thanks in advance!

I can't help with your method, but when I needed to do add a solar shade, I used a handrail so that I could have intermediate supports (I used the Kawneer solar shade).
